The Nationwide Education and Scholarship Test is popularly known as NEST SCHOLARSHIP TEST or just NEST by most students across India This scheme of scholarships has been designed to award the talented students of our country with a handsome amount of scholarships to encourage and inspire them so that they pursue their education with more enthusiasm and interest.

Eligibility for the Nationwide Education and Scholarship Test :

  • All Indian students and children of NRIs across the world can apply for this scholarship.
  • There are many categories in this scholarship for different qualifications, they are: 
    • NEST BASIC, Eligibility: Class 7th & 8th.
    • NEST JUNIOR‐I, Eligibility: Class 9th & 10th.
    • NEST JUNIOR‐II, Eligibility: Class 11th & 12th (Sci), DipEngg(1st & 2ndYr)
    • NEST SENIOR-I, Eligibility: DipEngg(3rdYr), 1st Year & 2nd Year of BSc, BTech & MBBS students.
    • NEST SENIOR‐II, Eligibility: 3rd Year & 4th Year of BSc, BTech & MBBS students.
    • NEST MASTER, Eligibility: 1st Year & Final Year of MSc, MTech & MD/MS students.
  • The test syllabus is based on the candidate's previous academic study level.
  • Registration fee applicable :
    • NEST‐BASIC: Rs. 450/‐ only.
    • NEST‐JUNIOR‐I&II: Rs. 550/‐ only.
    • NEST‐SENIOR‐I&II: Rs. 650/‐ only.
    • NEST‐MASTER: Rs. 750/‐ only.
  • The top 5 scorers in each category of NEST MOCK TEST (NMT) will get Fee Exemption if they have already applied and paid their registration fee for this Annual event. The full amount of the fee will be returned to their account within a week after the result of the NEST MOCK TEST.

Value of the Nationwide Education And Scholarship Test :

  • These scholarship awards range from Rs.20,000 to Rs.50,000(for different courses).
  • Certificates of Appreciation will be given to all the participants who score 50% and above of the total marks.

Collateral includes either: Immovable property – a house or a flat or land (or) liquid security – an FD, or LIC or shares or bonds.
