Music Scholarships/Awards are intended to recognize and encourage excellence.

Eligibility for the Music Performance Scholarship:

  • Applicants must have advanced ABRSM grade (or equivalent, including RockSchool, Trinity, or other international musical qualifications).
  • Candidates should have a significant musical profile while in school/college/university or in the local community.
  • Students must have an appropriate performing experience at the county or national level/conservatoire, e.g. youth choir, county orchestra, wind band, jazz, or big band.
  • Experience in giving public performances, e.g. gigs or solo recitals, central role in musical theatre productions.

Value of the Scholarship:

Talented singers and instrumentalists pursuing any degree at the University of Kent are annually rewarded GBP 1,000.
