The Muriel Anderson Scholarship for female students was established in 2004 by the Faculty of Engineering & IT, the University of Sydney with funding from the late Mrs. Muriel Anderson to encourage and assist female students who are beginning their studies in the Faculty of Engineering & IT.

Eligibility for University of Sydney - Muriel Anderson Scholarships for Female Students in Australia, 2019:

  • Open to female citizens or permanent residents of Australia who qualify in the final year of schooling to enter the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Sydney with an ATAR of 95 or above.
  • The successful applicant shall remain in regular contact with the Scholarships Officer.
  • If a scholar fails to reply to a request from the Scholarships Officer within a reasonable time, payment of the scholarship stipend may cease.
  • The scholarship shall be awarded based on academic merit, leadership potential, and personal qualities.
  • The award shall be awarded on the recommendation of the Associate Dean, Education.
