Indigenous people, locations, and experiences are included in tourism. CQUniversity's Centre for Tourism and Regional Opportunities is seeking a bright, driven PhD applicant. The integration of Indigenous experiences, places, and people into tourism is the subject of a PhD fellowship generously financed by the Morris Family Foundation. Professor Bruce Prideaux and Dr. Elena Konovalov will oversee the chosen candidate. The majority of the study is expected to be done in North Queensland, Australia, and the selected applicant will be based at either the Townsville or CQUniversity Cairns campus.
Eligibility for Morris Family Foundation PhD Scholarship at Central Queensland University:
- Both domestic and international students are eligible to apply
- Research on the subject of incorporating Indigenous experiences, locations, and people into tourism should be done by the applicant.

Value/Benefits of the Scholarship:
Besides the usual student stipend of approximately $27,000 per year, the scholarship also has a $10,000 research support grant for research activities. Additionally, CQUniversity funds research project fees for advanced degree students as well as funding for national and international conference presentations. This comprises:
