Eligibility for Moordtij Yorga Scholarship:

Applicants must meet all of the following criteria to be eligible to apply for the Moordtij Yorga Scholarship:

  • Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent
  • Identify as female
  • Will be enrolled either full-time (a minimum of 75 credits per semester) or part-time (a minimum of 50 credits per semester)
  • Students commencing studies in an undergraduate course in semester 2
    • A minimum ATAR of 70 in their WACE, or
    • A minimum CWA of 60 if coming through one of Curtin's pathway programs
  • Current students (who completed at least one unit of study in any study period in an undergraduate program) must have a minimum CWA of 70
  • Demonstrated strong leadership skills or potential

Value of Moordtij Yorga Scholarship:

The Moordtij Yorga Scholarship will provide the following support for the duration of the course (based on a full-time study load of 200 credits per year):

  • A cash stipend of AUD 5,000 per semester. The amount can be used at the recipient's discretion to contribute towards educational-related expenses or general living expenses.
