Mervin Walter Stoddart Prize at University of Auckland 2026

The Prize was established as a Scholarship in 1991 by Mrs E Stoddart in memory of her husband the late Mr Mervin Walter Stoddart.

Eligibility for the Mervin Walter Stoddart Prize:

Applicants must:

• Be enrolled in Part II, Part III, or Part IV of the Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) (BE(Hons)) at the University of Auckland.
• Be specializing in one of the following:
  • Electrical and Electronic Engineering
  • Computer Systems Engineering
• Have achieved the highest GPA across all courses undertaken in the year of the award.
• Meet the minimum standard of a GPA of 7.00 (equivalent to an A- average).

Value of the Mervin Walter Stoddart Prize:

• NZD $1,200
  
• Awarded annually

Application Process:

• There is no direct application.
• Students are automatically considered based on academic performance in Stage I Gender Studies.
