Eligibility/Selection Criteria for MBChB First in Course Awards at University of Auckland:
The selection of recipients for the awards in the different parts of the MBChB program will be based on the following criteria:
- Parts II and III:
- The award will be allocated at the end of the year to the student(s) with the highest final marks in the taught courses.
- Recipients must have achieved a minimum final grade of A-.
- If two or more students have a final percentage mark within a margin of +/- 0.5%, the award will be shared.
- Parts IV, V, and VI:
- The award will be allocated at the end of the year to the student(s) with the highest overall mark in the progress tests.
- Recipients must also have achieved an overall clinical distinction.
- If two or more students achieve the same overall mark within a margin of +/- 0.5%, the award will be shared.
