Overview

To support the advancement of women specializing in economics and finance Bank of Canada offers the Master’s Scholarship Award for Women in Economics and Finance

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Applicants must be citizens or permanent residents of Canada.
  • Applicants must be female candidates.
  • Applicants must be in the final two years of an undergraduate program or have completed an undergraduate degree.
  • Applicants must plan to pursue a master’s degree in Economics or Finance.
  • Applicants must have an overall average grade of 70 percent or higher.

Documents Required:

  • The candidates need to submit a completed application form.
  • The candidates must attach proof of their enrolment or acceptance in a master’s degree program in economics or finance.
  • Transcripts (official) have to be attached.
  • A complete résumé and cover letter which should include the interests of the candidate in pursuing the subject should be added.
  • Response to the personal statement.

Value of the Scholarship:

The successful candidates are awarded a sum of CAD 10,000.
