Imperial College London has established The Professor Maria Petrou PhD Scholarship to help recruit, retain, and advance the careers of women in engineering, providing funds for undertaking PhD studies in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Imperial College London.

Eligibility criteria for the Maria Petrou PhD Scholarship for Women:

• Female applicants from all nationalities are eligible for consideration for this prestigious academic scholarship. 
• Female applicants must have been made a PhD offer by the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the university.
• Applicants must demonstrate good academic achievements.

Benefits of the Maria Petrou PhD Scholarship for Women:

Successful applicants of the Maria Petrou PhD Scholarship for Women will receive the following benefits:

1. Covers tuition fees (Home & Overseas).
2. Bursary (at RCUK rates + London allowance of GBP 500 per annum for 3.5 years).
3. Total allowance of GBP 2000 towards conferences and travel.
