Margaret E. Lavezzo Memorial Italy Travel Scholarship 

Scholarship award was created in the memory of Mrs. Margaret E. Lavezzo, who was a member of the graduating class of 1973 with a bachelor’s degree in Anthropology, and a multiple subject credential in Education in 1993. This Scholarship is intended for students traveling to Italy for educational purposes.

Eligibility criteria for Margaret E. Lavezzo Memorial Italy Travel Scholarship  -

• The applicant must be Sophomore, Junior, or Senior.
• The applicant must be Minor in Italian.
• Minimum GPA 2.0
• Applicant must be enrolled in full time at time of award and at time of application.
• This scholarship is intended for students traveling to Italy for educational purposes.

Application process -

• Please include a brief essay/statement of your educational intentions and goal for the travel.Essay and a Literary Translation: Please include a brief essay and a literary translation. 1.The essay should be in Italian and should state your educational intentions and goal for travel. It should be one page type written and double spaced. 2. Literary Translation from Dante, Petrarch, Leopardi, Renaissance poetesse, or a major modern or a contemporary Italian poet. Ten line minimum. The original text as well as original translation should be given. Any translations taken from the internet or previously published will render the applicant unsuitable.
