The Magnifying Black Voices Bursary at the University of Northern British Columbia supports Black students who face significant financial challenges or barriers to education. The bursary is part of UNBC’s commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, mentorship, and community engagement. Successful recipients must participate in a mentorship program and community engagement activities.

Eligibility Criteria for the Magnifying Black Voices Bursary at the University of Northern British Columbia 2026:

• Applicants must identify as Black.
• Applicants must be enrolled full-time or part-time in an undergraduate or graduate program at UNBC.
• Applicants must face significant financial barriers to education.
• Applicants must maintain satisfactory academic standing.
• Applicants must participate in the mentorship program and community engagement events.

Application Process for the Magnifying Black Voices Bursary at the University of Northern British Columbia 2026:

• Applications are submitted online.
• Apply through the UNBC Awards and Financial Aid Office.
• No additional documentation is required according to the award details.
• Recipients are selected by the Awards Office/SCSB.
• Successful applicants must participate in the mandatory mentorship program and community engagement activities.

• The bursary is disbursed in two payments: CAD 500 in September and CAD 500 in January.
