MacIntyre Wind Farm Scholarship at University of Southern Queensland
The MacIntyre Wind Farm Scholarship, established in 2020 and funded by an endowed gift from ACCIONA Energia, will support three students from around the Darling Downs commencing their first year of a bachelor’s degree at University of Southern Queensland in 2026.
Eligibility criteria:
- The applicant should be a domestic student currently residing in Australia and be a resident of, or have relocated to study from, the Southern Downs, Goondiwindi, or Toowoomba Regional Council Local Government Areas.
- The applicant should be a commencing student intending to enrol full-time in a bachelor’s degree program at UniSQ in Trimester 1 2026.
- The applicant should have an income at or below the financial threshold limits.
Selection criteria:
- Address each personal statement question (max 250 words each): experiences or influences driving your passion, and career goals/impact.
- Provide evidence of a permanent residential address in, or relocation from, one of the following Local Government Areas (refer LGA directory):
Southern Downs Regional Council
Goondiwindi Regional Council
Toowoomba Regional Council - Provide evidence of academic achievement as directed in the application process (final year school report card or post-secondary transcript).
Provide proof of current financial circumstances.
Application Process: Application must be made via the UniSQ Scholarships Online Application Management System.
Award: a maximum value of AUD 4,000 to be paid in one instalment.
Deadline: Monday, 19 January 2026 at 11:59pm (AEST)
Note:
- If an applicant holds other UniSQ awarded scholarships, this may be taken into consideration in selection. There are some scholarships that cannot be held together.
- Extra consideration will be given to applicants who are an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person of Australia.
