Overview

The Indonesian Education Scholarship (BPI) for master's and doctoral programs is an award funded by the Indonesian Government through the use of the National Trust for Education Development (DPPN). It is managed by LPDP to finance higher education postgraduate courses in higher education in Indonesian or overseas institutions.

Eligibility for the LPDP Indonesia Scholarship:

  • Open to Indonesian nationals. 
  • Applicants must have completed four diploma (D4) or undergraduate (S1) or master's (S2) diploma programs with the following conditions:
    • P in tertiary education institutions accredited by the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT),
    • P in tertiary education institutions in the country, or
    • P erguruan foreign higher recognized by the Ministry of Research Technology and Higher Education of the Republic of Indonesia or the Indonesian Embassy in the country of origin of the college.
  • Employed applicants must attach a permit from the human resources unit of their workplace to follow the selection process.
  • Must submit a health certificate valid for no more than 6 months before the registration closing date, including:
    • Physical health certificate from a doctor or clinic.
    • Certificate of freedom from drugs from an authorized institution.
    • Certificate of freedom from tuberculosis (TB) for applicants intending to study abroad.
  • Must submit a recommendation letter from a leader, figure, or expert in the applicant’s field.
  • Must select a study program and university that align with LPDP regulations.
  • Must meet the GPA requirements as specified in the scholarship’s special conditions.
  • Must meet the language requirements as specified in the scholarship guidelines, unless:The applicant graduated from a foreign university where the official language is one of the UN official languages (e.g., English).
