Eligibility Criteria for LION scholarship at Leiden University 2026:

Applicants must:

  • Be a non-Dutch national.
  • Apply for admission to the MSc in Physics at Leiden University.
  • Submit a complete application before February 1.
  • Demonstrate strong academic merit.
  • Include in their motivation letter a clear statement that they are applying for the LION scholarship and justify their academic excellence.

Value of LION scholarship at Leiden University 2026:

Each scholarship (€ 6000 per year) is awarded  for one year, renewable for the second year subject to satisfactory performance (i.e., 60EC with a GPA>8 in the first year).
