Eligibility Criteria for LION scholarship at Leiden University 2026:

Applicants must:

Be a non-Dutch national.
Apply for admission to the MSc in Physics at Leiden University.
Submit a complete application before February 1.
Demonstrate strong academic merit.
Include in their motivation letter a clear statement that they are applying for the LION scholarship and justify their academic excellence.
Arrange for two reference letters from their current study programme supporting their scholarship application.
Maintain satisfactory academic performance for renewal

Value of LION scholarship at Leiden University 2026:

Each scholarship (€ 6000 per year) is awarded for one year, renewable for the second year subject to satisfactory performance (i.e., 60EC with a GPA>8 in the first year).
