Linguistics Taught Postgraduate Scholarship at Victoria University of Wellington

This scholarship, established by the School of Linguistics and Applied Language Studies at Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington, supports students pursuing a BA (Hons) or Master of Linguistics degree at the university.

Eligibility Criteria of Linguistics Taught Postgraduate Scholarship:

1. Open to students enrolling full-time in the BA (Hons) or Master of Linguistics at Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington in the year following application.
2. For the current round, only BA (Hons) in Linguistics students are eligible, as the Master of Linguistics is not open to new students.

Selection Criteria:

1. Applicants must be enrolled full-time in the BA (Hons) or Master of Linguistics at Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington in the year following application.
2. Selection is based on academic merit, with a minimum expected grade average of A- in 40 points at 300 level in the relevant subject.

Application Process: A completed online application must be submitted on the closing date. Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted. 

Award: Tuition fees up to a maximum of NZD 5,000.

Note: 

1. The scholarship cannot be held alongside a Wellington Graduate Award.
2. The offer lapses if the recipient does not notify the Scholarships Office of acceptance within four weeks.
3. The selection panel may modify or relax terms in special circumstances or to prevent hardship.
