Eligibility Criteria for LIFE Scholarship:
Students must:
- Be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen
- Be a South Carolina resident at the time of high school graduation and during the award period
- Enroll as a full-time undergraduate student pursuing a first bachelor’s degree
- Meet ONE of the following high school academic criteria:
- Minimum 3.0 GPA (on SC Uniform Grading Scale), OR
- Minimum 1100 SAT / 22 ACT, OR
- Graduate in the top 30% of high school class
- Maintain college renewal requirements after receiving the scholarship
Value of LIFE Scholarship:
- Currently, the maximum value is $5,000 ($4,700 related to tuition plus $300 based on the costs of textbooks).
- Sophomore-, junior-, and senior-level students may receive a maximum of $7,500 provided they are in a declared major of science or mathematics and other conditions are met.
