Lam See Chiew Memorial Scholarship in Social Entrepreneurship and Philanthropy 2025

Eligibility Criteria for Lam See Chiew Memorial Scholarship in Social Entrepreneurship and Philanthropy:

Applicants must:

• Demonstrate active interest in social entrepreneurship, philanthropy, or non-profit sectors, or have volunteered consistently in such social purpose organisations for at least 1 year.
• Demonstrate the need to improve knowledge of market-oriented practices to be more effective in subsequent social change pursuits.
• Provide evidence of personal qualities strongly resonating with social entrepreneurship, philanthropy, or non-profit leadership, illustrating how these have influenced life choices so far.
• Maintain good academic results, i.e., a minimum GPA of 3.5.
• Not currently hold any other Scholarship or Bursary for the relevant academic year (AY1718), subject to concurrent holding restrictions.

Application Procedure:

All Business students will be notified via email when the application window opens, typically during Semester 1.

Candidates must submit the following documents in the application:

• Testimonials from social enterprises or social purpose organizations
• CV
• Essay (Max 300 words each) covering 1 or more of the following:
• Analysis of the achievements and failures in social enterprise or social purpose organizations
• Plan for social change pursuits

Value of the Scholarship:

• One-time award of S$6,000
• Receive mentorship in a social entrepreneurship mentorship program
