Kolio Ficheto Bulgarian Engineering Scholarship at Imperial College London 

The Kolio Ficheto Bulgarian Engineering Scholarship at Imperial College London is a prestigious, fully-funded award for outstanding Bulgarian undergraduate students from lower-income backgrounds who wish to study engineering.

Eligibility Criteria of Kolio Ficheto Bulgarian Engineering Scholarship:

1. The applicant must possess Overseas fee status, hold Bulgarian nationality, and have an offer of admission for a three or four-year full-time undergraduate course starting in autumn 2026 in one of the following departments: Chemical Engineering, Computing, Dyson School of Design Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
2. The applicant must have been educated at a state-funded high school in Bulgaria.
3. The applicant’s household income must be GBP 70,000 or below per year.

Selection Criteria: Qualified applicants who complete the application form will be ranked by the Faculty of Engineering based on their personal statement and UCAS application, and successful candidates will be notified by 31 July 2026.

Application Process: 

1. There is no open application form; qualified applicants will be invited to complete an online application in June 2026.
2. In the application, the applicant must upload a personal statement (PDF) explaining:
   • Their personal situation and the barriers faced in continuing education.
   • Their family’s financial income and circumstances are relevant to financial need.
   • Whether they will have other means of financial support while studying at Imperial.

Award: Full Tuition fee, GBP 16.5k stipend p.a. up to 4 years.

Note: This scholarship is not available to continuing students.
