Kevin Charlesworth Scholarship at University of Southern Queensland:

The Kevin Charlesworth Scholarship, established through Kevin Charlesworth’s generous endowment to improve access to higher education, will support one student commencing their first year of an undergraduate degree at University of Southern Queensland in 2026.

Eligibility criteria:

1. The applicant should be a domestic student currently residing in Australia.
2. The applicant should have completed Year 12 at Clifton State High School, Pittsworth State High School, or Toowoomba Flexi School; or Year 10 at Millmerran State School or Allora State School.
3. The applicant should be a commencing student intending to enrol full-time in an undergraduate degree program at UniSQ in Trimester 1 2026.

Selection criteria:

1. Answer each personal statement question (max 250 words each): experiences or influences driving your passion, career goals/impact, and positive experiences or challenges of living and attending school in a regional community.
2. Provide evidence of meeting the school attendance eligibility criteria (e.g., relevant school report card).
3. Provide proof of current financial circumstances (not required, but preference given to students who meet this criteria).

Application Process: Application must be made via the UniSQ Scholarships Online Application Management System.

Award: a maximum value of AUD 12,000 to be paid over three years.

Deadline: Monday, 19 January 2026 at 11:59pm (AEST)

Note: If an applicant holds other UniSQ awarded scholarships, this may be taken into consideration in selection. There are some scholarships that cannot be held together.
