Overview

The Santa Clara Johnson Scholars Program is available to students whose backgrounds, experiences, and viewpoints have equipped them to be successful leaders. The selection of finalists will take into account their academic record as well as their ability to further the intellectual and civic life of SCU and society at large. In addition, Johnson Scholars participate in the University Honors Program.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Evidence of leadership and a spirit of tenacity
  • Demonstrated record of high academic performance
  • An unweighted cumulative GPA of 3.8 or higher
  • Record of service throughout their high school career
  • SAT scores of 1450 or above, if submitted. 

Application Process:

  • The Johnson Scholars Program application will be accessed through the University Honors Program application.
  • Applicants must apply to Honors to be considered for Johnson Scholars.
  • Upon being accepted into Santa Clara University applicants will be asked to apply to the University Honors Program. After completing the Honors application, applicants will then be offered the opportunity to submit a Johnson Scholars Program video application.

Value of the Scholarship:

Successful applicants will receive an award of Up to full tuition, standard room & board, books & supplies; summer stipend upon application in sophomore/junior year.
