Overview

The John M. Azarian Memorial Armenian Youth Scholarship Fund was created in 1976 after the sudden passing of John M. Azarian Sr., a loving husband and father. The son of Armenian immigrants, Mr. Azarian dedicated his life to supporting the Armenian church and community. He played a key role in moving St. Leon’s Armenian Church from Paterson to Fair Lawn, New Jersey, and was a founding member of the church in its new location.

Eligibility Criteria for the John M. Azarian Memorial Armenian Youth Scholarship 2025:

  • Applicants must be of Armenian descent.
  • Applicants must currently be enrolled in an undergraduate program at colleges/universities in the US.

Documents Required:

  • Completed Application Form
  • Two letters of recommendation
  • Official undergraduate or high school transcript.
  • A copy of the acceptance letter from the college or university
  • A copy of the Student Aid Report (S.A.R.) and FAFSA Financial Aid Profile from the federal government.
  • A complete copy of the parents' most recent tax return, including all schedules
  • Current resume showing past/current job experience.
  • Copies of any work you have published.
  • One photograph.
