John L Paterson Postgraduate Design Scholarship at University of Edinburgh 2026

Eligibility Criteria for the John L. Paterson Postgraduate Design Scholarship at University of Edinburgh:

• Apply for full-time postgraduate taught study starting in the 2026–2027 academic year.
• Apply specifically to one of the following eligible programs at Edinburgh College of Art (ECA):
  • MA Design for Change
  • MA Craft
• Have UK or overseas fee status.
• Hold, or expect to obtain, a UK First-Class or Upper Second-Class (2:1) Honours degree, or international equivalent.
• Submit a fully completed program application for admission via the University’s online system by 23 March 2026.
• Be prepared to participate actively in the postgraduate community by presenting their work and engaging in development opportunities.
• Not hold full funding from any other University of Edinburgh or Research Council source.

Value of the John L. Paterson Postgraduate Design Scholarship at University of Edinburgh:

• £8,000 for one academic year.
• Deducted first from tuition fees; remaining funds paid toward living costs.

Application Process:

• Submit a complete program application for MA Design for Change or MA Craft by 23 March 2026.
• Submit the scholarship application process.
• Applicants will receive scholarship decision notifications by the end of June 2026.
