Jill Hughes UWA Connect Scholarship at the University of Western Australia 2026

Introduction: 

The Jill Hughes UWA Connect Scholarship is funded through the estate of the late Jill Hughes and administered by the University of Western Australia. Its aim is to offer the chance for commencing equity students, especially students from regional and rural Western Australia, to undertake undergraduate studies

Eligibility requirements for the Jill Hughes UWA Connect Scholarship at the University of Western Australia:

• Applicants must be a commencing domestic student.
• Have applied for a bachelor’s degree at the University of Western Australia.
• Come from an equity or disadvantaged background, which may include:
  • Low socioeconomic status
  • Regional or remote background and Australian Indigenous identity

Value of the scholarship:

• A full-time student will be awarded AUD 21,500.
• AUD 5,000 per year for up to 3 years and AUD 1,500 upfront payment in the first year
