The scholarship program aims to stimulate students' interest in issues related to Quebec's forest economy and social forestry among those who are graduating with a bachelor's degree from the Faculty of Forestry, Geography, and Geomatics.
Eligibility for Jean-Claude-Mercier Award in Forestry at University of Laval:
- The applicant must be pursuing a bachelor's degree in the Faculty of Forestry, Geography, and Geomatics and be working full-time or satisfy the requirements set forth by Financial Aid for Studies.
- The candidate must have either finished or been enrolled in one of the following courses during the autumn 2023 or winter 2024 session: DDU-3050, DDU-3060, ENV-3010, FOR-3005, FOR-3700, GBO-3095, GGR-3700, GGR-3701, GMT-3060, GMT-3061, GMT-3400, GMT-3501).
- It is anticipated that the candidate will fulfill this requirement in their last year of study.
- The candidate must complete a project focused on identifying the advantages of forests and forest products for the economy, society, or environment as part of the application procedure.
