Overview
The Ministry of Finance, Government of Japan is offering Japanese Award for Outstanding Research on Development (ORD), 2017 to recognize and support excellent research proposals from researchers of developing countries and transition economies.
Eligibility criteria:
- Applicants of Japanese Award for Outstanding Research on Development (ORD), 2017 must be nationals of low or middle-income countries.
- Citizens of eligible countries who are based in non-eligible countries temporarily for not more than 5 years as of 29 July 2021.
- The age of the applicants must not be more than 45 years as of 29 July 2021 .
- Candidates applying for the Japanese Award for Outstanding Research on Development (ORD), 2021 should not be staff members of bilateral and multilateral organizations.
- Current and previous employees of GDN or its Regional Network Partners (RNPs) are ineligible to apply until 5 years from their date of completion of tenure.
- Members of evaluation teams, previous Board Members and project mentors of GDN, and past and current AMC reviewers are ineligible.
- Finalists and past ORD winners cannot apply with the same or similar research proposal.
- Winners cannot apply until 3 subsequent years of successful proposal submission.
