The James "Jim" E. L. Pratt Memorial Scholarship was established by Debbie MacLellan in memory of her brother, James (Jim) Pratt.

  • Applicants must be enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in the Faculty of Science at UPEI.
  • Applicants must plan to participate in a university-sanctioned study abroad experience that earns academic credit toward their current degree.
  • Applicants must apply before beginning their study abroad experience.

  • Applicants must submit a personal statement explaining their interest in practical learning experiences, how studying abroad will expand their knowledge of the world, and how the experience will support their academic and professional goals.
  • Applicants must provide documentation confirming their study abroad plans, including a reference letter signed by their program coordinator or department confirming acceptance into the study abroad experience, and proof of flight purchase, such as a travel itinerary and boarding pass, showing their name and travel details.
