International Undergraduate Tuition Fee Waiver at the University of Leicester 

The University of Leicester offers a specific International Undergraduate Tuition Fee Waiver scholarship that covers 100% of tuition fees for the duration of an undergraduate programme. 

Eligibility Criteria of International Undergraduate Tuition Fee Waiver: 

1. Applicants must be classified as international students and start a full-time, campus-based undergraduate program in September 2026 (excluding Medicine and courses over three years).
2. They must achieve results at least two grades above the standard A-level entry requirement for their chosen course and make the University of Leicester their firm UCAS choice by 30 June 2026.
3. Applicants must meet all conditions of their offer by 20 August 2026.

Application Process: 

1. Applicants must submit a short video (maximum 2 minutes) answering:
   – What do you want to achieve after university?
   – How will your chosen degree help you achieve this?
   – How will you contribute to the University community?
2. The video should clearly show the applicant's goals, motivation, and how you plan to engage with campus life.
3. The applicant's personal statement and extracurricular activities will also be evaluated as part of the selection process.

Award: Covers 100% of tuition fees for the duration of an undergraduate programme. 

Note:

1. Excluding Medicine, LLB Maitrise, STEM International Foundation, 'International Year 1' courses, and programmes that exceed three years in duration. 
2. This fee waiver is valid only for the academic year in which the applicant begins their course, not the year they apply. If the applicant defers their admission to the next academic year, the fee waiver will become invalid, and they will then be assessed under the funding rules of the new academic year and will need to reapply for the fee waiver.
