Overview

The Igniting Minds Foreign Fellowship is a program that helps talented Indian students achieve their goals of studying abroad. It aims to support the most promising students in India, encouraging them to grow intellectually and contribute significantly to the global community.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Applicants must be Indian nationals born after January 1, 1990.
  • Applicants must hold a valid Indian passport.
  • Applicants must have qualified their 12th or Bachelors (for those pursuing Masters) from a recognised institution within India or abroad.
  • Applicants must have achieved a minimum score of 55% to qualify.
  • Applicants with a Master's degree from an overseas institution do not qualify for the fellowship.
  • Applicants currently enrolled in or have commenced their advanced studies at a foreign institution are ineligible.

Non-Eligible Programs:

  • MBBS/Medicine programs in China, the Philippines, Georgia, Russia, and Ukraine are not accepted
  • Programs (Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD) from any Indian institution are not acceptable
  • PhD or PostDoc programs are not accepted

Application Process:

  • All eligible candidates must complete and submit the online application to be considered for the fellowship.
  • The candidates if selected, must provide proof of admission to the university.
  • The candidates may take the English language test if necessitated by the University.

Value of the Fellowship:

The successful candidates are awarded either INR 3,00,000 or a tuition fee discount of 25% (whichever is lower).

  • The selected candidates must produce proof of how they plan to arrange the remaining funds.
  • The candidate must notify the providers if in receipt of any other scholarships/ fellowships for the same course.
  • During the course tenure, the candidates must not stay in India for more than 30 consecutive days.
  • If the successful candidates do not commence their course within 6 months, the Fellowship Management Team reserves the right to allocate it to the next candidate on the waiting list.
