  • Applicants must be entering the DVM program at the Atlantic Veterinary College (AVC).
  • Applicants must have completed their pre-veterinary medicine education at either Dalhousie University Faculty of Agriculture or Mt. Allison University.
  • Applicants must demonstrate a genuine intention to pursue a career in large-animal veterinary practice.
  • If no student meets the preferred educational background criteria, the scholarship may be awarded to a Maritime resident entering AVC from a similar faculty at a Nova Scotia university.
  • Renewal for the remaining three years may be available if funding permits and the Dean of AVC determines that the recipient continues to demonstrate an interest in large-animal veterinary practice.
