Spring 2025: 2024-2025 Academic Year Award
The Hugo and Irma Oppenheimer Biology Department Award was created to support an undergraduate or graduate Biology student who shows excellence in research and teaching promise.
Eligibility criteria -
- The applicant must be an undergraduate student and must enroll in 6 units or more for the current Spring term.
- If they are graduate students, they must enroll in 4 units or more for the current Spring term.
- They must be an undergraduate or graduate student majoring in Biology.
- They must demonstrate excellence in research and a strong interest in entering the teaching profession.
- They must have a GPA greater than or equal to 3.0
Application process -
- They must request (2) letters of recommendation via the myMatador Scholarships portal
- They must include a brief statement regarding the intention of pursuing a career in teaching.
Note - The applicant must also answer the supplemental questions asked by the University.
