Hodcroft Larsen Scholarship for Female undergraduates at Newcastle university 2024

Eligibility Criteria:

• Applicant must be a Stage 1 undergraduate student – preference will be given to home students ordinarily resident in the UK;
• Applicant must be a female undergraduate Year 1 student pursuing a Chemical Engineering degree program at Newcastle University

Value of the Scholarship:

£3,000 for the first year of study

Application process:

The scholarship will be awarded to one student in the program who comes from a widening participation background and/or has a low household income and can demonstrate financial need for the award. Applicant must have applied for the full student loan to which the applicant is entitled and be able to produce evidence of this. Applications will be judged on academic potential, enthusiasm, and aptitude for the chosen programme of study. 

Conditions of scholarship:

Every recipient of a scholarship is required to submit an introduction when they initially get the prize, as well as an annual report in the spring or summer to update their donor on their achievements. We'll get in touch with you to get these reports as soon as possible. Recipients must be accessible to meet the donors and, upon request, take part in promoting Newcastle University's student assistance initiatives.
