Hira and Renu Ahuja International Graduate Scholarship at University of Waterloo 2026

Eligibility Criteria for Hira and Renu Ahuja International Graduate Scholarship:

Applicants must:

• Be registered full-time in a Master’s or Doctoral program in the Faculty of Engineering.
• Maintain a minimum academic average of 80%.
• Be either:
  • an international student who graduated from one of the following IITs:
    • IIT Delhi
    • IIT Mumbai
    • IIT Ropar
    • IIT Roorkee
    • IIT Kanpur
    • IIT Kharagpur
  • or a Canadian Permanent Resident who graduated from an IIT or NIIT/NIT in India.
• Be enrolled in one of the eligible engineering programs.
• Preference is given to candidates who identify as women in fields where women are underrepresented.
• Maintain full-time registration and good academic standing to continue receiving the award.

Value of Hira and Renu Ahuja International Graduate Scholarship:

Scholarships valued at up to $10,000 annually.

• Master’s students may receive funding for up to two years.
• Doctoral students may receive funding for up to four years.

Application Process:

No separate application is required. Eligible students are identified and selected automatically by the Engineering Graduate Office in consultation with Sanjeev Bedi.
