Overview

The University of Waterloo has initiated the Hira and Kamal Ahuja International Graduate Scholarship for students planning to pursue their Masters's and Doctoral courses at the university.  This scholarship is made possible by a donation from Professor Hira Ahuja.

Eligibility for the Hira and Kamal Ahuja International Graduate Scholarship:

Applicants must:

  • Be full-time Master’s or Doctoral students in the Faculty of Engineering
  • Maintain minimum 80% academic standing
  • Have graduated from IITs (Delhi, Mumbai, Ropar, Roorkee, Kanpur, Kharagpur); if none, NITs considered
  • Be an international student or Canadian permanent resident
  • Preference to women candidates

Architecture, Biomedical Engineering, Business, Entrepreneurship and Technology, Chemical Engineering, Civil & Environmental, Electrical & Computer, Management Sciences, Mechanical & Mechatronics, Quantum Computing, Systems Design Engineering

Value of Hira and Kamal Ahuja International Graduate Scholarship:

  • Up to CAD $10,000 per year
  • Master’s: up to 2 years | Doctoral: up to 4 years
