Eligibility Criteria for HESPAL - Higher Education Scholarships for Palestinians 2026:

Applicants must:

  • Be Palestinian from the Gaza Strip (including displaced Gazans).
  • Be employed by or part of the academic staff at a Gazan university.
  • Be nominated by their home university in Gaza.
  • Be applying for a Master’s (MA) program only.
  • Provide a valid English-language certificate that is accepted by the UK university they plan to join.

Women, displaced academics, and individuals with disabilities are strongly encouraged to apply.

Value of HESPAL - Higher Education Scholarships for Palestinians 2026:

  • Academic tuition fees, through fee waivers offered by participating UK partner universities.
  • Living allowance for the 12 months duration of master’s programmes.
  • Arrival allowance and thesis allowance.
  • Additional allowance (for 2026 scholars) to contribute toward visa, health insurance and/or travel costs.

Application Process:

  • Applicants must identify UK partner universities and preferred master’s programmes, and apply directly to at least three programmes offered by those institutions.
