The Heaslip Undergraduate Awards were established by Nona and William (Bill) Heaslip (1927-2006), O.C., LLD (Hon.), principals of the William and Nona Heaslip Foundation.

Eligibility criteria for the Heaslip Undergraduate Awards:

  • Applicants must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents.
  • Applicants must be entering Year 2 of a four-year undergraduate degree program at UPEI.
  • Applicants must be enrolled full-time.
  • Applicants must have a minimum cumulative average of 70% in Year 1.
  • Applicants must demonstrate their financial need.
  • Applicants must demonstrate sustained community involvement, on or off campus.
  • Applicants must not be receiving another major award.
  • For renewal, recipients must maintain full-time enrollment and a minimum 70% cumulative average in subsequent years.
