HBCU Alumini Scholarships at Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) 2025

Eligibility criteria -  

• The HBCU Alumni Scholarships are available to prospective master's students who have completed their bachelor's degree at a Historically Black College or University (HBCU).
• To be considered, applicants must indicate their completion of a bachelor’s degree from an eligible HBCU in their application for admission to Heinz College.
• While there is a limited number of full-tuition scholarships, all HBCU alumni will be eligible for at least a 30% partnership scholarship.

Application Process -

• No separate or additional application is required for the HBCU Alumni Scholarships.
• Applicants simply need to indicate on their admission application that they have completed their undergraduate degree at a qualifying HBCU.
• The scholarship will be automatically considered and awarded at the time of admission.

Value or Benefit -

• The HBCU Alumni Scholarships offer a significant financial benefit, with a limited number of full-tuition (100%) scholarships available for eligible students.
• Even if a full-tuition award is not granted, all HBCU alumni are guaranteed a minimum scholarship of 30% toward their tuition.
• This scholarship provides an excellent opportunity for HBCU graduates to pursue a master’s degree at Heinz College with substantial financial support.
