The GuateFuturo-RMIT University joint scholarship is intended to give exceptional Guatemalan students who wish to pursue Master's by Coursework, master's by Research, and PhD programs at RMIT additional financial support. It is jointly supported by RMIT and Fundación GuateFuturo.

Eligibility for GuateFuturo-RMIT University Joint Scholarship:

Applicants must:

Be a citizen of Guatemala.
Have an offer for a Master by Coursework, Masters by Research, or PhD program at RMIT University.
Be an awardee of the GuateFuturo scholarship-loan.
Commence full-time enrolment as an onshore international student.

Value of the Scholarship:

RMIT English Language Bursary for Latin American students if ELICOS study is required.
Master by Coursework: 50% tuition fee scholarship for three eligible students.
Masters by Research / PhD: Full tuition fee scholarship and 1.5 years additional stipend for three eligible students:
- PhD: 3 years (possible extension to 3.5 years)
- Masters by Research: 2 years (no extension)
GuateFuturo provides up to USD 25,000 per year for a maximum of 2 years to cover remaining tuition fees, OSHC, living costs, and related expenses.
Students are responsible for additional living costs beyond the two years, as well as:
- Visa and associated expenses
- Student Services and Amenities Fees (SSAF)
- Accommodation, travel, books, equipment, and other expenses.
