Overview

Each year, Griffith University makes available several stipend scholarships for candidates of exceptional research potential to undertake a Higher Degree Research (HDR) program. These awards are known as the Griffith University Postgraduate Research Scholarship (GUPRS).

Eligibility for the Griffith University Postgraduate Research Scholarship (GUPRS):

Applicants must:

  • Be commencing or enrolled in a Higher Degree by Research program at Griffith University
  • Not be receiving other income supporting living costs exceeding 75% of the scholarship stipend
  • Hold a Bachelor degree with First Class Honours or equivalent research experience
  • Not have completed a degree at the same or higher level as the proposed research degree
  • Not have previously completed more than 12 months of equivalent full-time higher degree research
  • Not have held the same or an equivalent scholarship previously
  • Not have held an Australian Government research scholarship within the past two years
