About this scholarship

These scholarships come with a living stipend to help you finish your research project for your professional doctorate at UQ that focuses on research, a master's degree in philosophy, or a doctorate in philosophy.

Eligibility for Graduate School Scholarships (UQGSS) – includes Research Training Program (RTP):

  • The candidate must have been nominated by a UQ-enrolled school or institute.
  • The Graduate School needs to have determined that the applicant satisfies all requirements for admission to the higher degree by research program.
  • A scholarship or living allowance award that exceeds 75% of the RTP should not be given to the applicant. Living allowance rate for scholarship recipients enrolled in research programs leading to higher degrees

Application Process:

  • When a student applies for a PhD or MPhil, they are also applying for this award. It is not necessary for students to submit a different scholarship application.
  • Within the 'Scholarship and Collaborative study' portion of their application: Select I would like to be considered for a UQ scholarship to cover a living allowance stipend and tuition fee expenses.
