Eligibility

To be eligible for the Graduate Equity Fellowship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Enrollment: Applicants must be enrolled as graduate students at SJSU for the Fall/Spring 2024-2025 academic year, completing at least 6 units in each academic term (Fall and Spring).
  • These 12 units must appear on the master's candidacy form.
  • Coursework taken to complete program prerequisites does not count toward this requirement.
  • Academic Status: Applicants must be in good academic standing.
  • Financial Need: The fellowship is aimed at economically disadvantaged students who have demonstrated success in overcoming financial barriers to their education.
  • Exclusions: Credential students are not eligible for this fellowship.
