Overview

The Government of Sri Lanka AsiDisi Media Scholarships, 2017 are being granted to improve the professionalism of Sri Lankan journalists who wish to study further.

Eligibility criteria:

  • Applicants of Government of Sri Lanka AsiDisi Media Scholarships, 2017 must belong to one of the following categories:
    • Journalists working on full time or part time basis in recognized electronic and print media institutions in Sri Lanka
    • Free-lance Journalists
    • Provincial Journalists
    • Web Journalists
  • Applicants must be journalists who stipulated at least 02 and must have completed 3 years of service.
  • Applicants must either be currently studying or be intending to study a Postgraduate (Master’s) Degree, Diploma, Long Term or Short Term Certificate Course related to the field of media conducted by recognized educational institutions.
  • Candidates applying for Government of Sri Lanka AsiDisi Media Scholarships, 2017 should choose a course that is related directly to the field of media.
  • The age of the applicants must range between 18-55 years.
  • Media Accreditation from the Department of Government Information is required.
  • Applicants must not have obtained the AsiDisi scholarship previously.
