Goondiwindi Region Scholarship at University of Southern Queensland:

The Goondiwindi Region Scholarship, established to support students from Goondiwindi and its surrounding districts, will support one student commencing their first year of a bachelor’s degree at University of Southern Queensland in 2026.

Eligibility Criteria: 

1. The applicant should be a domestic student currently residing in Australia.
2. The applicant should be a resident of, or have relocated to study from, the Goondiwindi Regional Council Local Government Area (LGA); consideration may also be extended to applicants from surrounding districts.
3. The applicant should be a commencing student intending to enrol in a bachelor’s degree program in Trimester 1 2026.
4. The applicant should have an income at or below the financial threshold limits.

Selection Criteria:

1. Answer each personal statement question (max 250 words each): experiences/influences driving your passion, and career goals/impact.
2. Provide evidence of a permanent residential address in, or relocation from, the Goondiwindi Regional Council LGA or surrounding district.
3. Provide academic achievement (final year school report card or post-secondary transcript).
4. Provide proof of current financial circumstances.

Application Process: Application must be made via the UniSQ Scholarships Online Application Management System.

Award: Upto AUD 12,000.

Deadline: Monday 19 January 2026 at 11:59pm (AEST)

Note: 

• Extra consideration will be given to applicants who are enrolling in full-time study.
• The scholarship has a maximum value of AUD 12,000 for a 32-unit degree or AUD 9,000 for a 24-unit degree, and will be paid as an annual stipend of AUD 3,000 for full-time study or AUD 1,500 for part-time study.
