Introduction: 

The George MacNeil Memorial Award was established in memory of George MacNeil, a pioneer in the computer industry in Prince Edward Island and former Director of Computer Services for the PEI Government. The award recognizes mature students entering Computer Information Systems who demonstrate financial need and are returning to education after a significant break, reflecting George MacNeil’s contributions to innovation and technology development in the region.

Eligibility requirement for George MacNeil Memorial Award at Holland College:

• Must be a resident of Prince Edward Island (PEI).
• Must be enrolled in Computer Information Systems.
• Must be a mature student who has not been enrolled in any educational institution for at least two years.
• Demonstrate financial need.

Value of the scholarship:

A CAD 510 is awarded to support a full-time student
