The scholarship is supported by an endowment established through gifts from the Palm Sunday Rally for Peace and Nuclear Disarmament, and many individual and organizational donors, in recognition of the life and achievements of Senator George Georges.

Eligibility Criteria for George Georges Research Scholarship at University of Queensland 2026:

Applicants must be current students at the University of Queensland.
Applicants must be enrolled full-time in an undergraduate or honours program administered by the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, or in a dual program including one of these programs.
Applicants must be studying the Bachelor of Politics, Philosophy and Economics (Honours) or a related program administered by the Faculty of Business, Law and Economics.
Applicants must participate in studies or programs associated with the Asia-Pacific Centre for the Responsibility to Protect.

Value of the George Georges Research Scholarship at University of Queensland 2026:

At least AUD $2,000.
