Geoffrey Oldham Memorial Scholarships 2020 are available to applicants applying to study a Masters in SPRU, to celebrate and continue the legacy of Geoffrey Oldham. The award provides 10,000 pounds towards tuition fees.

Eligibility:

To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must have accepted an offer of a full time place on one of the following Masters courses in SPRU:

  • Energy Policy MSc
  • Project Management MSc
  • Science and Technology Policy MSc
  • Strategic Innovation Management MSc
  • Sustainable Development MSc 

Selection process:

  • Applicant must apply for this scholarship after they accept an offer of a place on an eligible course.
  • They need to have excellent academic scores to date.  
  • Applicants also need to provide a statement of academic interests when they apply. The statement will be assessed on how well they demonstrate the following:
    • clear and specific goals with what they aim to do after they finish Masters
    • significant work experience or extra-curricular activities related to the chosen Masters
    • how the research interests will contribute to furthering Geoffrey Oldham’s work on Science and Technology and Gender.
