Gavin & Mary Weis Research Scholarship

The Gavin & Mary Weis Research Scholarship was established through memorial gifts to honor Professor Gavin Weis and his wife, Mary Weis, recognizing Professor Weis's contributions to Wisconsin’s agricultural community and his partnership with the University of Wisconsin.

Eligibility criteria for the Gavin & Mary Weis Research Scholarship:

• The applicant must be an undergraduate student in the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences (CALS).
• The applicant must be must be majoring in Horticulture or another plant science program.
• The applicant must demonstrate leadership in their field of study.
• The applicant must have a minimum GPA of 3.5

Application process for the Gavin & Mary Weis Research Scholarship:

• The applicant must complete their FAFSA before the awarding decisions are made.
• No separate application is required. Eligible students are nominated by the Department of Horticulture
