G. and I. Hester Indigenous Pathway Scholarship in Medicine at the University of Western Australia 2026

Introduction: 

The G. and I. Hester Indigenous Pathway Scholarship in Medicine is a coursework scholarship offered by the University of Western Australia (UWA). It was established by Dr. Vanessa Harvey in memory of her parents, Godfrey and Ione Hester, to support an Indigenous student who has accepted an offer of assured entry into the Doctor of Medicine (MD) program.

Eligibility requirements for the G. and I. Hester Indigenous Pathway Scholarship in Medicine at the University of Western Australia:

• Applicants must be an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person.
• Have accepted an assured entry offer into the Doctor of Medicine (MD) program at the University of Western Australia.

Value of the Scholarship:

A full-time student will be awarded AUD 40,000.
