FfWG provides foundation grants to support women graduates with their living expenses (excluding fees) while they are enrolled in study or research at an approved higher education institution in Great Britain. The selection criteria are based on the applicant's demonstrated financial needs and academic excellence.

Eligibility Criteria Funds for Women Graduates Foundation Grants

  • Applicants must be women graduates from the UK and overseas.
  • Applicants must be studying in Great Britain and in their final fee-paying or writing-up year of PhD or DPhil.
  • Applicants must be able to show evidence of their ability to pay fees.
  • All subjects or fields of study will be taken into consideration.
  • There is no upper age limit for applicants.
  • Applicants reading for a part-time PhD or DPhil will be eligible to apply from their third year onwards.
