The Tsinghua-Berkeley Shenzhen Institute(TBSI) is offering non-Chinese students with the opportunity to pursue Masters and Ph.D. program at Tsinghua University with the help of Fully Funded TBSI Ph.D. and Master Scholarship. Fully Funded TBSI Ph.D. and Master Scholarships is intended to bridge gaps between different disciplines, cultures, academia, and history.

Eligibility for Fully Funded TBSI Ph.D. and Master Scholarships for Non-Chinese Students in China, 2019:

  • The applicant must be a non-Chinese citizen.
  • A master's applicant must have a 4-year Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • A Ph.D. applicant must have a Master's degree or equivalent.

Value of Fully Funded TBSI Ph.D. and Master Scholarships for Non-Chinese Students in China, 2019:

  • The successful applicant of Fully Funded TBSI Ph.D. and Master Scholarships will receive:
    • Tuition fee for Ph.D. Program:40,000 CNY/Year;
    • Tuition fee for Master's Program:33,000 CNY/ Year;
    • Application Fee: 800 CNY;
    • Medical Insurance: 600 CNY/year;
    • Accommodation on Tsinghua campus, Shenzhen:  around 1,000CNY/month for single rooms.

  • The Fully Funded TBSI Ph.D. and Master Scholarships for Non-Chinese Students in China has three rounds to disburse the awards:
