Fulbright Master’s Degree Fellowships 2024

The Fulbright Israel Master's Degree Fellowship Program offers fellowships to individuals interested in pursuing their Master’s degree studies at American universities for the fall semester of the 2025-2026 academic year. The program is open to students from all fields of study, except those requiring clinical activities and hands-on contact with patients.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Applicants must be Israeli citizens, excluding dual American-Israeli citizens or permanent residents of the United States.
• Candidates must be residents of Israel at the time of application and must continue to reside in Israel until the beginning of their studies in the United States as Fulbright Fellows. Applicants studying, residing, or working outside of Israel are ineligible.
• Applicants who have already commenced their studies in the United States or plan to do so before the 2025 Fall semester are not eligible.
• Candidates must have completed or anticipate completing their Bachelor’s degree studies by the end of the 2023/2024 academic year.
• Students pursuing degrees in medicine, dental medicine, veterinary medicine, nursing, and other patient-oriented programs are ineligible.
• Applicants who have previously applied twice without success cannot reapply.
• Candidates invited for an interview must submit a recent Duolingo English Test score of a minimum of 115. Additionally, selected candidates must submit a recent TOEFL score by November 20, 2024, and in some cases, a GRE/GMAT score.
• Nominees must demonstrate good health and submit a Medical History and Examination Report before the grant can be activated.
• Prior conviction or current indictment for a felony may lead to disqualification.

• Tuition and fees for up to two years
• Monthly maintenance allowance for the grantee
• Books and equipment allowance
• Basic health insurance for the grantee
• J1/J2 visa administration
• Pre-departure orientation meeting in Israel
• Support agency in the U.S. for visa assistance, events, and networking

Application Process:

• Candidates accepted to the Fulbright Master's Degree Fellowship Program can choose between two placement tracks:
• Self Placement: Candidates independently research degree program options, submit applications, and track admission status. No assistance is provided by IIE’s University Placement division. The submission plan is not limited to a specific number of institutions.
• IIE Placement: Candidates' applications are submitted by the Institute for International Education (IIE) based on their preferences and qualifications. IIE formulates a submission plan considering financial, geographical, and program objectives. The submission plan is limited to four institutions.
